Sweet Rose Cake

I haven't posted for a few months.  I just keep forgetting and I take about 50 million pics of each cake, it's very time consuming going through them all.  I promise I'll get better!  I really love this cake, like really, really love it.  This was actually a birthday cake for my brother's main squeeze, Chelsi.  She turned 21 and he wanted something classy and sweet to celebrate.  The fondant frill roses are so soft and pretty it could even be a small wedding cake.

Don't mind the horrible background, I didn't have great light in the kitchen and had thrown away my backdrop. P.S. I don't know how to edit so what you see is what you get!

Happy Birthday! XOXO

I am so excited to finally have a blog to show you all my latest cakes and adventures! Now that my little guy is more predictable (if that's possible) I am ready to start caking and baking again.  I have LOTS of cakes I haven't posted yet so stay tuned for more.  Every now and then I plan on posting a tutorial as well.  Follow by email to get each new post sent to your inbox.  Thank you so much for all your interest, I love to read your comments!

This cake was made for an old friend, Whitney.  We were buddies in Elementary school and lost touch when I moved to Mountain Green.  We reconnected through Facebook a few years ago and she contacted me when she was planning her mothers wedding.  We went over her budget, theme and colors and came up with a beautiful and unique design.  She chose 3 delicious cupcake flavors:  Chocolate Fudge, Vanilla Bean and Key Lime.  I loved the end result and was grateful for the opportunity to see Whitney and her family all grown up!  Thank you.
